Participating in the Inaugural Meeting of the 6th National Fireworks Standardization Technical Committee to Promote Industry Safety and Sustainable Development
Legend Fireworks proudly participated in the First Plenary Session of the 6th National Fireworks Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC149) . The pivotal conference, combined with the National Standard Review Meeting, was held from December 3rd to 5th in Guangzhou, China, under the theme “Building a Strong Safety Foundation for Green Development.
As an appointed committee member, Legend fireworks joined fellow industry leaders, regulatory bodies, and top research institutions to shape the future of fireworks standards. Our participation underscores our dedication to not only adhering to, but actively advancing, the regulatory frameworks that ensure product safety and environmental responsibility in the global pyrotechnics industry.
Established in 1989 under the auspices of the Standardization Administration of China, the National Fireworks Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC149) is the apex body responsible for the development, revision, and management of standards within China’s fireworks sector. Now in its 6th term, the committee is composed of 61 expert commissioners and 85 observers from 24 provinces. Its scope covers the entire supply chain—from raw materials and production machinery to finished products and display equipment. To date, SAC/TC149 has overseen the drafting and implementation of over 90 national, industrial, and local standards, forming the technical backbone of China’s quality and safety system for fireworks citation.
Shaping the Future: The 6th Term and Green Development
True to the conference theme, “Building a Strong Safety Foundation for Green Development,” the agenda was intensive. Key outcomes included the strategic planning of the 2026 work schedule and the rigorous review of several critical national standards. Notably, the committee advanced the adoption of international standards, further harmonizing local practices with international benchmarks
